Online Services

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet.

Once you have signed up, you will be able to;

- Book or cancel appointments online

- Renew or order repeat prescriptions online

- View parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at

How to Sign-Up & Our Practice Guidance for Patient Access

For more information, please contact reception or next time you visit the surgery, bring with you a piece of photo ID (passport, driving licence) and something with your address on like a bank statement but not a gas or electric bill. If you don’t have these, please talk to us and we will help you sign-up

Patient Access Support 

If you are experiencing problems with Patient Access then please visit and the Patient Access Support team will be able to help you. On the top right of the website there is a tab to "contact support" if you can't find the answer to your problem where you can raise a email ticket directly with them.

Northlands Wood will be changing to a new Clinical IT System on Tuesday 26th September. The new System will bring us in line with the other Practices in Haywards Heath.

The Migration will involve transferring Medical Records from one IT to another whilst following NHS Information Governance Guidelines.

In the build up to this change there will be disruption to our normal service. This will include Patient access and Prescriptions. Patient Access will be unavailable from Wednesday 20th September- Tuesday 26th September. We will be unable to take repeat prescription requests after 6pm Tuesday 19th September.

We would encourage all our patients to check there medication and ensure they have supply to last them during this period. We will be sending regular text messages over the coming weeks to keep our patients up to date and aware of important dates.

Do we have your up to date Contact details?

Please check we have your current contact details and if you consent to us contacting you via email, text and phone. This can help us to contact you:

- We can send text reminders for your appointments.

- We can contact you via email which is quicker than by post.

- We can leave messages on you answerphone if you give us consent to do so, for any messages we have from your GP.

If you think we have your wrong contact details or you havent given us consent to contact you in other ways please inform us by contacting reception after 11am on 01444 458022 and by filling in the attached form CLICK HERE

Accessible Information Standard

Do you need extra support in the way we communicate with you and give you information?

We want to make sure you can read and understand the information we send you. If you find it hard to read our letters or if you need someone to support you at appointments, please let us know.

• We want to know if you need information in large print, via email, verbally.

• We want to know if you need British Sign Language interpreter or advocate.

• We want to know if we can support you to lip-read or use a hearing aid or communication tool.

CQC carried out a review of the data available to us about Northlands Wood Surgery on 04-11-2021. We have not found evidence that we need to carry out an inspection or reassess our rating at this stage.This could change at any time if we receive new information. Named GP

Following a recent government change in the GP contract, we are now required to provide a named doctor for all of our patients over the age of 75 years.
As we work for a team, you may still ask for one of the other doctors in the practice, but your named doctor will take on the overall responsibility for your care.
We are in the process of contacting everyone over the age of 75 to inform them of their named GP, but if you have not been contacted or are unsure of your named GP please ask at reception.
